Forum Title: Question about venting
Hello experts, I am going to widen the kitchen window and to be able to do this I need to move a venting pipe. The existing pipe has a section that goes down into the floor but it is simply capped right under the floor (Please see the picture below). Does it have a purpose? Thanks!

Looks as if it may have been roughed in for a double bowl sink?

The capped vent is a future vent. In some areas it was required by code.
